I began my career with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office in 2010 at 31 years old. I started where every law enforcement officer should — on patrol.

For my first three years, I served as a Patrol Deputy, responding to every imaginable type of call. From domestic disturbances to high-stress emergencies, I learned quickly that staying calm under pressure saves lives. My ability to keep a level head helped de-escalate many situations that could have easily turned violent.

In 2013, I was promoted to Investigator. I completed multiple advanced investigation schools and worked cases involving property crimes, sexual assaults, narcotics, and shootings. I approached every case with professionalism, attention to detail, and compassion for victims.

In 2016, I was promoted to Lieutenant, where I supervised investigations and trained new investigators. Leadership at this level means not only solving crimes, but mentoring the next generation of deputies to serve our community with integrity.

In 2018, I was promoted to Captain and subsequently to the Chief Deputy role. In these roles, I oversaw patrol operations, coordinated with investigators and jail staff, addressed inmate concerns, and handled employee discipline, scheduling, and budgeting. I also worked directly with citizens to resolve issues that could not be handled at the patrol level.

Today, I continue to serve as the Department’s Firearms Instructor, Less-Lethal Instructor, and General Department Instructor — ensuring our deputies are trained, prepared, and equipped to protect this community safely and professionally.

I have served in every major role within this department. I understand how it works from the ground up. And I lead by example — with honesty, accessibility, and experience protecting the people of Lewis County.
